Alex Rebek-Nagy
Alex is a third grader and attends The Randazzo School in Coconut Creek, Florida. He enjoys watching and playing almost any sport, football being at the top of his list. Thanks to his older brothers for instilling a love for sports into him. He also enjoys watching, singing, and dancing to YouTube Christian music videos. He is currently involved in a Ninja class, a fitness class, basketball in his afterschool program, and flag football. Every time Alex has been part of a group his joy, smile, and enthusiasm have won over his coaches, peers, and their parents. ASM believes that Alex will be an encouragement to families when he meets them and is proof that the future is ‘bright’ and has endless possibilities.

Tressa is a wife, mother to 5 kids, business owner of a medical repair company, and former teacher. She feels blessed to have the opportunity to start up A Special Miracle, alongside the Roland family. In her free time, she enjoys going on dinner dates with her husband, Zsolt, reading, and going to Christian concerts. Important things in her life are taking time out to count her blessings, attending church, and spending time with family and friends. She believes the timing of A Special Miracle starting back up is perfect and loves watching her young adult children use their talents and knowledge they are acquiring in their field of studies to add to this organization. Her hopes are through workshops, blogs, testimonials, education, and classes A Special Miracle will be a huge support for families in their journey.
Marcia Roland
Marcia is in tenth grade and attends Randazzo School in Coconut Creek, Florida. She enjoys doing puzzles, hanging out with her friends, dancing, singing, and baking sweet treats. She performed in several pageant competitions and won the title of Miss Arc Broward in 2021. She also played basketball at her local Special Olympics program. Marcia loves giving back to the community and making a difference. She hopes her interesting personality inspires other kids like her to feel included and get involved in whatever they like to do.

Marlena is a proud parent of five beautiful children with John, her amazing husband and best friend of 23 years. She has taught in the public and private school environments for over 15 years. She learned to juggle both parenting and teaching, which at times is not easy. Her favorite hobbies are organizing, arts, and crafts, reading, and watching movies. She loves being involved in my church, participating in community out reach projects, and spending time with my family and friends. She learned, through the years, God doesn’t change our situation, because He is trying to change your heart. Having the opportunity to start this non-profit organization has been a dream come true and I am so excited for what the Lord has in store for our families in this ministry.
Josh Deangulo

Joshua is a current graduate student at Vanderbilt University pursuing his Masters in Finance where he also received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business. Outside of school, Joshua enjoys working out, being with friends, and watching sports. Joshua’s goal for A Special Miracle is to shed light on the blessing and joy that people with Down syndrome are, just as his little brother has been for him, and for it to become an organization that is able to empower them to achieve their dreams and live the life they want to live.
Markala Roland

Markala graduated from Stetson University with a degree in Biology. She is currently pursuing a Masters in the University of South Florida’s Medical Sciences Pre-Professional Program. When she is not studying, Markala enjoys running, reading, and vibing with her family and friends. Her hope for A Special Miracle is that it will continue to emphasize the importance of inclusion for people with Down syndrome and push the boundaries of what they can accomplish. With the hope that the organization’s mission will extend beyond South Florida, she believes that people united on a common goal can achieve anything.
Benjamin Deangulo

Benjamin is a current student at the University of South Florida pursuing his undergraduate degree in Finance with a Minor in Economics. Outside of academics, Benjamin enjoys physical training, spending time with friends, and trading financial markets. Benjamin’s goal for a special miracle is to empower and strengthen families that have special needs by providing needed information to create a positive outlook for the future of their family. His vision is to show how much of a blessing kids with Down syndrome are and what they are capable of achieving.
Maelyn Roland

Maelyn is currently a junior in college working on her business degree in management. Once finished with school she would like to pursue a career in architecture and interior design. In her free time she finds herself visiting art exhibitions and museums, curating projects, and professionally modeling for high end brands. She strongly believes in A Special Miracle’s vision and is excited about the outreach that is going to come about ministering to these families.
Elijah Deangulo

Elijah is a current student at the University of Florida pursuing his undergraduate degree in Information Systems and Management with a Minor in Economics. Outside of academics, Elijah enjoys hanging out with friends whether it’s at the gym, socializing, or watching sports. His intent for A Special Miracle is to provide families with a positive outlook on their newborns and encourage them to spread awareness to others. He hopes their mission will influence the current stance on Down syndrome and perpetuate ideals of positivity across Florida.
Meagan Roland

Meagan is a Management Information Systems Major and Healthcare Information Systems Minor at Florida Atlantic University. After graduation, she plans on pursuing careers in project management, data analysis, and content strategy in the business, technical, and medical fields. Her current activities include sharing her creative talents as a freelance graphic designer and digital marketer for small businesses and nonprofit organizations, including A Special Miracle.

Madelyn is currently a high school student at Somerset Academy Canyons located in Boynton Beach, Fl. She enjoys going to school and learning new things everyday. She likes to work on art and fashion and does what she can to brighten someone’s day and make them feel good about themselves. Madelyn’s goal for A Special Miracle is to spread positivity and kindness regarding the love she has for children. She hopes to use this program to spread awareness and light into children with Down syndrome.
John Roland, Jr.

John is currently attending Calvary Christian. He is an active student on campus and a competitive athlete. He loves basketball, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends. He is the youngest of his four older sisters, which keeps his life extra busy. He is blessed to have his sister, Marcia, because she is full of joy, and reminds him always to put Jesus first. Having a sibling with special needs isn’t sent to just any family; they make the family special.
